All open positions at Cape Charles Yacht Center are full-time, 40-hour-per-week jobs with occasional overtime. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience. Employees must be able to lift 50 pounds. All full-time employees are eligible for holiday pay, paid time off, and employer-sponsored health and dental insurance. Laborer will assist in the moving of equipment and materials around the boatyard. S/he will powerwash boat bottoms, block boats, place boat stands properly, and assist in docking and tying up vessels.read more
Marine carpenter must be able to fabricate, assemble, and install cabinets, furniture, modules, and trim in a variety of boat types. S/he must have extensive experience with a variety of power and hand tools.read more
Electric & Electronics Technician will install complete electrical and electronic systems on boats. Must be able to troubleshoot a variety of electrical and electronics issues, and then develop and implement effective solutions for these issues.read more
Mechanic should be able to perform routine engine maintenance of inboard or inboard-outboard diesel engines. The ideal candidate will have experience in a marine environment, but mechanics from various sectors will be considered.read more
Marine painter will prep and fair interior and exterior surfaces of boats. S/he will apply finish coats of paint and/or varnish by brush and spray systems.read more
Composites technician will fabricate boat parts using fiberglass, resin, and other composite materials. Composites technician will repair damage to fiberglass and carbon boat hulls and other parts.read more
Marine lift driver will operate the 75-ton Travelift to move vessels in and out of the water. The driver also will move land-based vessels to designated work, storage, or launch areas.read more
